Shop The Illustrienne

We really need to get the online store ready but honestly it just wasn’t in my bandwidth to get the site up and running while working on the trunk show at the same time. But in the meantime, here’s a preview of what’s to come! My sister, Kristen took this photo as she’s a one woman assembly line right now. Sorry, our cards won’t come with this black grosgrain ribbon tied in a bow (because we would end up hating each other for thinking of this idea for production) but you can recreate this for your super stylish friend, family or co-worker.

Leaving for NYC tomorrow and so excited for the trunk show but scared about the freezing cold. I mean, it’s been a while since I’ve experienced winter in NYC. I’m frightened for Nina and myself. I think it might be in the 20’s when we land tomorrow evening. Eeeeks. And I don’t even have my Ralph Lauren down coat that everyone thinks is a sleeping bag. Not sure where it is now. Every time I would wear the coat, my sister would give me the most disgusting look and tell me how I need to get rid of it. Then my offended self would tell her that I worked on this coat and that it’s the warmest ever. Anyhoo, it’s missing now and I’m going to borrow a down coat from Kris. In the meantime, hoping my sister and I will have a fun week of being nice to one another. We’ll see how long that’ll last. lol. Hope to see you at Maison 10 on Tuesday for the illustrienne goodies’ debut!

Save The Date

OMG! It took 2.5 years since I last posted about working on paper goodies and finally they’re here! I’ve been MIA here but quite busy on my IG, so join me there.

Meet my sister, me and my little Nina on December 11th at MAISON 10. We can chat about life while I show you the prettiest lustworthy goodies for stocking stuffers and hostess gifts (all illustrated by moi, of course).  And hopefully you’ll want to buy them all! xx

Preggo Ballerina

PREGNANCY is a time to let my skin glow, hair shine and think encouraging, positive thoughts. Since this is my 3rd pregnancy and I really don’t care what people think, here’s what PREGNANCY stands for me lately :

P is for Pissed Off that I keep peeing when I sneeze. It takes every ounce of muscle strength in my nether regions to stop the urine flow. Thank goodness for panty liners.

R is for the Ridiculous expectations I have of myself. I recognize they are utterly and truly ridiculous expectations and yet, I still get angry that I haven’t done what I set out to do for the day, week, month, year or decade. Also, I need to stop comparing myself to pregnant supermodels because, well, that’s just RIDICULOUS.

E is for Energy sucking little vampires I grow in my belly. Will I turn into a vampire after I give birth like Bella in the Twilight series? I hope so.

G is for Grumpy because I’m not sleeping throughout the night. I especially love it when she decides to do a crazy roll when I’m in deep sleep. It’s startling at first, then sweet and then I’m up for an hour. This routine happens about 3-5 times a night. I wake up grumpy and annoyed.

N is for Nausea. Do you remember that feeling of wanting to throw up from a crazy hangover, but can’t? You try and try to gag yourself with your fingers so you can induce vomit but sometimes it just doesn’t work. Anyway, that’s the way I felt for a little more than half of my pregnancy. The constant hangover that just won’t go away.

A is for Anesthesiologist. Why? Because I’m hoping and praying that this time my anesthesiologist will not deliver my baby. “Nurse, can you please check her?” the anesthesiologist asked. The nurse responds, “she’s fully dilated.” The anesthesiologist clapped his hands and got up from his chair, “LET’S DO THIS.”EXCUSE ME. OMG. Where is my OB?! He went home to eat dinner with his wife!! To be Continued… Will save this labor and delivery story for another post.

N is for Nipples from my 20s that I wish I can have back. Will discuss later.

C is for Compare. Again, do not compare myself to Amal Clooney and Beyonce.

Y is for youth. My long lost youth, how I miss thee.  Anyway, missing my youth just makes me want to live in the moment because I don’t want to be 60 years old wishing I was 40 again. Going to enjoy my present right now. Just like I did on Saturday when my closest and dearest girlfriends threw me the most amazing Baby Sprinkle Soiree! They opened up their hearts, creativity and beautiful home. Friends gathered to celebrate the upcoming birth of my little baby girl! Surrounded by fragrant flowers, yummy food, great conversations and amazing energy. Can’t help but to feel so lucky and grateful for all that I have!

Whoa, that ended on a happy note. I really didn’t expect that. Anyway, this was quite therapeutic for me, so I’ll see if I can post more PREGNANCY related posts before baby arrives. Thanks for taking the time to read this!

Wow Wow Wowza!

So honored and excited to be featured as one of six up and coming fashion illustrators to follow on IG!

Thank you so much!

Found out a week ago, but every time I read this article I want to dance and cry it out! I’m just really emotional like that.

This illustration was inspired by one of my favorite emojis. I’m twinning with my sister in Valentino because that’s what we used to do when we were younger. Even though my sister is two years younger than me, we’d make sure to coordinate and wear matching polka dot outfits in elementary school. We looked freaking adorable! Not sure why we got teased by the mean older girls on our walk back home from school. That never stopped us from twinning! Made us love fashion that much more!

Follow me on IG and see my illustrations way before they’re posted on my blog with random stories. Thank you!
